MAHFIL-I-MILAD

April 05, 2008 Honoring the birth anniversary of Prophet Muhammad (PBUH), The City University of Science and Technology Peshawar on Saturday organized Mahfil-i-Milad in the Campus Auditorium.

The event was organized by the Student’s Literary and Organizing Societies. Professor Dr. Qibla Ayaz Chairman Seerat Academy University of Peshawar was the chief guest on the occasion. Students of various Departments, Faculty and Administration staff in large numbers attended the program.

With an aura of spirituality surrounding the air, the Student orators recited ‘Hamds’ to seek the blessings of Allah Almighty and ‘Naa’t o Darood’ to pay respect to Prophet Muhammad (Peace Be upon Him).

Professor Dr. Qibla Ayaz delivered Sermon on the life of Hazrat Muhammad (Peace Be Upon Him), focusing on his Seerat and teachings based on the welfare and prosperity of entire humanity.

He said that the young generation in the present era is engulfed with the negative propaganda of western media against Islam and said that these problems will only eradicate if Muslim adopt the Sunnah of Prophet Muhammad (PBUH).

He also said that Muslim Ummah should not only praise the Life of Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) but practical apply his teaching.

The audience was told that Eid Milad un Nabi is a special occasion because on this day, Allah Almighty blessed the humanity with ‘Rehmatul Lil Alameen’, who is a source of benediction for mankind.

Professor Dr. Qibla Ayaz also lauded the efforts of the students of City University in organizing such an exceptional event.

Later, prayers were offered for the Ummah’s unity and for the country’s prosperity.
